Description

The British Government is proposing a reform of activities currently classed as "regulated entertainment" in Schedule One of the 2003 Act. The consultation seeks views on the removal in certain circumstances of the requirement for a licence in England and Wales to host a performance of a play, an exhibition of a film, an indoor sporting event, a performance of live music, any playing of recorded music, or a performance of dance. We are particularly concerned about the Public Nuisance (as opposed to Statutory Noise Nuisance) that may be caused by live music in Pubs and Clubs (with a capacity of less than 5000 people) if this removal is implemented and would like your views on the matter. You may email is at RE@bloomsburyassociation.org.uk Full details of government proposals can be found from the link below: http://www.culture.gov.uk/consultations/8408.aspx
